ACCESSIBILITY OF COVID-19 TESTING
NEPA Community Health Care offers same-day COVID-19 testing to all patients and community members, regardless of symptoms. Symptomatic patients will be referred to a care provider as indicated. Patients may call for an appointment or simply walk-in. However, patients may be asked to wait outside the facility if a nurse is not immediately available upon entry. Please call the health center nearest you for more information!
TO OUR PATIENTS & COMMUNITY AMID THE COVID-19 PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS:
NEPA Community Health Care continues to closely monitor the PA Department of Health’s updates surrounding COVID-19 and is committed to maintaining a culture of preparedness rather than panic. Rest assured that all health centers and providers are open and available to care for your family. We urge patients not to cancel their standing appointments during this critical time. While telehealth remains an option for some services, it is SAFE to seek in-person care. As Lackawanna and Susquehanna counties progress through the Green phase, we continue to operate with the following measures in place:
→ No more than one individual may accompany patients during appointments and only if absolutely necessary. Groups of three or more will be required to wait outside the facility.
→ Hand sanitizer is stationed at the entrances of all health centers, and patients are encouraged to use it on their way in and out of the facility.
→ Every staff member is wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) for their safety as well as yours.
→ Every patient that walks through our door, regardless of symptoms, is provided with a mask to be worn for the duration of their visit.
→ Social distancing measures are required in waiting areas.
→ Exam rooms and provider offices are disinfected between every patient encounter.
As Pennsylvania’s counties continue to transition in accordance with the Governor’s plan for phased reopening, it remains essential that information be gathered from reliable sources. For more information on what we can ALL do to move beyond COVID-19, please visit the PA Department of Health and CDC websites. On a local scale, Susquehanna County’s website can be accessed for the most recent information related to food pantries and distribution, up-to-date information and links from the state, and resource sites for businesses.

My 6 y/o son has been fearful of visiting the doctor ever since he had his tonsils removed at age 3 – to the point where he screams, cries, and physically acts out. We changed our primary care provider to NEPA Community Health Care just last year and have been so pleased with the staff and providers. Bill Iveson, CRNP, in Hallstead, even got my son to laugh and smile! It seems so small, yet it is a huge step for him and a huge relief for me. Thank you, NEPA CHC!
NEPA Community Health Care has given me the best care that I’ve ever had in the past 30 years. I don’t know how I would get through each day without the help that I get at NEPA CHC.
The staff at NEPA CHC were very polite and informative.
I am very pleased with my care at NEPA CHC and have referred people to the health center.
